Thomas Cimino, CEO and Co-Founder
With over twenty years of experience in financial analytic and equity administration solutions, Mr. Cimino developed a vision of a Hybrid solution that bridges the gap between Finance and Human Resources. This vision incorporates a Business Intelligence approach with Compensation Management, resulting in a powerful new suite of products for in-depth analysis and reporting.
After a successful start with PriceWaterHouseCoopers in the Tax Software Development group, Mr. Cimino moved to Hyperion Solutions as a senior consultant. Over the course of 10 years, Mr. Cimino led the design and rollout of finance applications for leading companies, such as IBM Corporation, Pepsi International, CS First Boston Corporation, Philip Morris Companies, Fisher Scientific, U S Filter / Ionpure, Electronic Arts, Pitney Bowes, Multicare Corporation, WR Berkley, Weil Gotshal & Manges, Derlan Industries, Liberty Mutual, and Minerals Technology Inc. Leveraging his client services skills, Mr. Cimino was instrumental in building Hyperion's Strategic Consulting Alliance group and developing best practice templates for the Consulting Practice. After leaving Hyperion, Mr. Cimino worked for Transcentive (now Computershare), where he had responsibility for Strategic Account Management, Application Consulting, Technical Consulting, Custom Programming and Education.
Gary Scrofani, President and COO
Mr. Scrofani has over 24 years of experience in software, support, and education. Prior to joining CompIntelligence, Mr. Scrofani was with Computershare for over 7 years serving as Director of Product Management for the Transcentive Web Platform and the Equity Suite, the company’s core product offerings. Before that, he was the Director of the Education Service group and served as dean of Transcentive University, the company’s education and training institute. A frequent speaker at conferences and workshops, Mr. Scrofani has presented at several National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP), Global Equity Organization (GEO), and American Electronics Association (AeA) chapter meetings on the latest industry changes and trends that involve stock plan administration, insider filings, and financial reporting. He is a member of the NASPP.
Terry Edwards, Senior VP, Business Development and Co-Founder
With more than 20 years in the software business, Mr. Edwards has wide-ranging experience from Supply Chain to Accounting and Business Intelligence systems, spanning industries such as Wholesale and Retail Distribution, Consumer Goods Manufacturing, and Financial Services. His commercial background includes direct sales, strategic alliances, channel development, and acquisitions for global companies, such as Hyperion Solutions, Industri-Matematik International, and Cartesis Inc.
Howard Runyon, VP Research and Development
With more than 13 years of software development experience, Mr. Runyon has extensive experience in consulting based development. After developing one of the nations leading academic administration system, Mr. Runyon moved to Transcentive (now Computershare) to lead the development of the company’s custom programming division. His unique approach of including the customer in all development stages resulted in a 93% customer satisfaction rating over a four year period. Mr. Runyon has also developed several of the industries leading real time trading solutions. Mr. Runyon has designed and developed custom solutions for companies such as Microsoft, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Vulcan Materials, Equiserve, and most major brokerage housed including UBS, Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley, and Merrill Lynch.
Jason Avery, VP Technology
Mr. Avery brings over 13 years of experience in software development and has architected and developed over 40 custom software applications. Prior to joining CompIntelligence, Mr. Avery was a lead software developer at Computershare for over 6 years. During his time at Computershare, Mr. Avery developed and supported the Interactive Voice Response System that allowed Computershare to service their entire Outsourcing client base. Mr. Avery was a key architect and developer on Computershare's dividend tracking system. In addition, Mr. Avery developed custom database and web interfaces for companies such as UBS, Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank Alex Brown, CVS Pharmacy, Sara Lee and Northern Trust.
