CompGrant

A web-based utility that facilitates grant recommendations for option or restricted share grants, CompGrant eliminates the traditional, time-consuming and error-prone systems of shared spreadsheets.

First, recommendations are collected into a central database these can be imported from predefined formats or entered manually. Next, users are assigned a level, privileges, and a group of employees that they may access. Privileges are defined as: view only, edit, and approve. Users at higher levels with the appropriate privileges can overwrite recommendations entered by lower-level users. Any number of levels may be set up.

At each level, users with privileges to view, edit and approve have the ability to:

  • view the total number of grants assigned to their group(s)
  • apply percentages or a fixed amount for all employees in the group or for a selected subset - these percentages may be distributed evenly or by a criterion such as salary, job title, department, or job level
  • enter or override amounts for individual employees
  • approve the amounts for all or individual employees

At any time, an online report can be run - and printed for final review and board approval - showing the suggested and approved grant amounts by employee, department, job level, salary and division. Once approved at the highest level, all grants can be exported in several predefined formats.
