O-HFM-A Oracle Hyperion Financial Management Administrator - 5 Days
The Administrator Training for Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) course is designed to guide students through the typical steps to build and administer HFM. Students will develop and deploy HFM as an interactive case study over five days.
After a general overview of HFM, the course focuses on creating applications and metadata. Fundamental metadata management techniques are introduced. Students then set up the HFM dimensions. Hands-on workshops include maintaining alternate hierarchies,
attributes, and importing/exporting data using data files, forms and grids. Designing and creating rules are then taught along with security. Translation, intercompany reporting, and building reports using Smart View and Hyperion Financial Reports are also taught
using the interactive case study. The course format consists of lecture plus a great deal of interaction doing exercises and
workshops to build a real-world HFM application.

The Financial Data Quality Management (FDM) course is designed to guide students through the steps to implement Oracle Financial Data Quality Management (FDM). Students will develop and deploy FDM as an interactive case study over three days. After a general overview of FDM, the class focuses on building FDM data load locations. Creating import formats and mappings are introduced. Students then load data through the FDM locations. Hands-on workshops review importing and exporting mapping tables to/from FDM, and the various mapping best practices and approaches available. Importing formats is covered extensively. The focus is then on security, including creating and managing user and object security. Students then learn various administrator topics such as creating validation rules and groups, creating validation entities, and application architecture. Advanced administrator topics include implementing batch loader, import and event scripting and using the FDM Workbench.
